Laâyoune-Boujdour-Sakia El Hamra

Laâyoune-Boujdour-Sakia El Hamra ((アラビア語:العيون بوجدور الساقية الحمراء)) is one of the old sixteen regions of Morocco. It is mainly located in the disputed territory of Western Sahara. Most of the region is administered by Morocco.
The region covers an area of 39,480 km² and has a population of 301,744 (2004 census).〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Recensement général de la population et de l'habitat de 2004 )〕 The capital of the region is El Aaiún.
==Geography==

The Moroccan and Western Saharan territories of the region are bordered to the east by the Moroccan and Western Saharan territories of the region of Guelmim-Es Semara respectively. To the south is the region of Oued Ed-Dahab-Lagouira, entirely within the Western Sahara. The east of the region borders the Mauritanian region of Tiris Zemmour. Laâyoune-Boujdour-Sakia El Hamra has a coastline on the Atlantic Ocean, facing the Spanish Canary Islands.
The region is made up into the following provinces:
* Boujdour Province
* Laâyoune Province
* Tarfaya Province
